On Saturday, July 4, residents and visitors are invited to come watch or come march in the third annual hometown parade on Main Street starting at 9:30 a.m. Contact the Ocean Park Association at 310-564-1968 or visit www.opa-sm.org for information.
Parade Information and Street Closures>>> The Police and Fire Departments remind you to BE SAFE THIS SUMMER and to remember that ALL types of fireworks are illegal in the City of Santa Monica. The use of fireworks often starts brush, home, and forest fires, endangering the lives of many unnecessarily. Many people, including young children, are injured or burned each year, even from using “Safe and Sane” fireworks. If you are visiting Santa Monica this holiday weekend or are headed for the beach, take advantage of our $3 all day parking special in the Civic Center Parking Structure and at the Main Library.
