SUPERSTARS VOLLEYBALL CLUB (KINDERGARTEN)

Boys and girls in kindergarten participate in a novice sports program designed to teach the basic skills and rules of volleyball.  No games or scrimmages--just skills and drills.  All participants will be picked up by their instructor from their kindergarten room at dismissal time. 

Program Fees:  $65 per participant / $60 for those enrolled in full-time CREST Child Care.  Fee includes a club t-shirt.  Proof of enrollment in full-time CREST Child Care must be included with registration for discount.  Discount for Child Care enrollment cannot be combined with Financial Assistance.  Financial assistance (partial reduction of fees) is available to qualifying low and moderate-income families.  For more information on available programs, please contact the Youth Office at (310) 458-8540.

ROOKIES VOLLEYBALL CLUB (GRADES 1-2)

Boys and girls in grades 1 and 2 participate in a novice sports program designed to teach the basic skills and rules of volleyball through game time situations and scrimmages in preparation for the next level of play.  Participants enrolled in full-time CREST Child Care will be picked up by their instructor from the CREST room.  Participants not enrolled in CREST Child Care must meet their instructor at the volleyball courts.   

Program Fees:  $65 per participant / $60 for those enrolled in full-time CREST Child Care.  Fee includes a club t-shirt.  Proof of enrollment in full-time CREST Child Care must be included with registration for discount.  Discount for Child Care enrollment cannot be combined with Financial Assistance.  Financial assistance (partial reduction of fees) is available to qualifying low and moderate-income families.  For more information on available programs, please contact the Youth Office at (310) 458-8540.

Boys and girls in grades 3 to 4 participate in a traditional volleyball league with two practices per week and a weekly game on Saturdays.  Practices are structured to teach participants sportsmanship and the basic skills of volleyball in preparation for upcoming league games.    There are no playoffs for this league.

Boys and girls in grade 6 will participate in a traditional sports league with two practices per week and a weekly game on Saturdays.  Practices are structured to teach participants sportsmanship and the basic skills of volleyball in preparation for upcoming league games.  CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES BASED ON LEAGUE STANDINGS WILL BE PLAYED AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE REGULAR SEASON .

Skill Evaluation Day:  A mandatory skill evaluation day will be held on Tuesday, 9/23/08, from 3:15 - 4:15 p.m. at each school's gym (evaluations for SMASH Middle will be announced at a later date pending registration).

Program Fees:  $80 per participant.  Fee includes uniform and a participation award.  Financial assistance (partial reduction of fees) is available to qualifying low and moderate-income families.  For more information on available programs, please contact the Youth Office at (310) 458-8540.
