Technical Support & Training
ISD's technical support and training center is known as "HelpDesk." In addition to providing technical support and training to City staff, HelpDesk also provides recommendations for technology purchases.
 

Software Support
ISD supports over 250 software applications and databases for over 63 unique City businesses in the areas of public safety, utilities, transportation management, community and cultural services, mass transit, permitting, business licensing, and disaster recovery. 

Systems & Network Support
ISD oversees the design, installation, and maintenance of over 130 major network servers, two storage area network (SAN) systems, and several enterprise systems, disaster recovery solutions, and telecommunications systems (fiber-optic networks, voice-over internet protocol, and Wi-Fi wireless) throughout the City.

Administrative Services
ISD administers funds for technology improvements, oversees call accounting for telecommunication services, and manages the replacement and enhancement of technology on an on-going basis (computers, printers, servers and other network components).
