Santa Monica — The City of Santa Monica is seeking qualification statements from event production and promotion professionals to coordinate the opening events for the new Annenberg Community Beach House at Santa Monica State Beach, located at 415 Pacific Coast Highway.

Currently under construction, the Annenberg Community Beach House will quickly become a premiere recreation destination in Southern California upon its opening in 2009. The project involves revitalized elements of the historic beachfront Marion Davies Estate along with construction of new structures such as a pool house and event house. The existing beach café, located next door to the Beach House at 445 Pacific Coast Highway, is also undergoing structural upgrades as part of the project. 

The opening of the Beach House represents the culmination of years of community input and support, and the events will set the tone for this unique facility – an “easy day at the beach” experience previously only available at exclusive private clubs.
