Request for Qualifications Issued for Special Event and Meeting Coordination Services for the Annenberg Community Beach House

Santa Monica — The City of Santa Monica is seeking qualification statements from professionals interested in developing, organizing, promoting, and managing venue rentals and related services for privately-held special events and meetings at the new Annenberg Community Beach House at Santa Monica State Beach, located at 415 Pacific Coast Highway.

Currently under construction, the Annenberg Community Beach House will quickly become a premiere special event and meeting venue in Southern California. The selected consultant will work with the City to develop a Business and Operations Plan, and upon approval by City Council, will implement the plan and provide event management services commencing with the opening of the facility in early 2009. 

The Annenberg Community Beach House project consists of revitalized elements of the historic beachfront Marion Davies Estate along with construction of new facilities such as a pool house and event house. Overall, three structures offering a wide variety of venues as well as the historic swimming pool, gardens, and beach will be available for rent by the public.  Exclusive catering rights will not be available.
