Santa Monica — The City of Santa Monica is seeking qualification statements from interested consultants for a comprehensive and coordinated wayfinding and regulatory signage program for Santa Monica’s park system and the beach.

A recent study of visitors to Santa Monica conducted by the Convention & Visitor’s Bureau identified the need for improved signage, at the beach in particular. A consistent signage system will improve the park and beach user experience, as well as provide a cohesive identity for Santa Monica’s open space resources.

Qualification statements will be accepted until 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2008. For a copy of the RFQ, please visit smgov.net/ccs/projects, or contact Community & Cultural Services at 310-458-8310.
