YOUTH WILL BE JOB READY at the 4th ANNUAL YOUTH JOB FAIR

Contact: Moira McCormack, Program Coordinator, (310) 458-8688 More than 350 youth are expected to attend the 4th Annual Youth Job Fair to be held at the Santa Monica High School Cafeteria on Wednesday, April 23rd from 3:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. The job fair is being organized by the City of Santa Monica’s Virginia Avenue Park, the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, Jewish Vocational Services of West Hollywood, and the Employment Development Department, along with assistance from the Westside Regional Occupational Program and Santa Monica High School. The fair is free and open to youth 14-24 years of age who are Santa Monica residents or students at a Santa Monica High School. (Bring ID or Drivers’ License) Many employers have confirmed their attendance, including ZJ Boarding House, Shutters on the Beach Hotel, Centinela Feed & Pet Supply, Bubba Gump Shrimp, Pacific Park, Kinecta Federal Credit Union, Bon Mélange, Express, City of Santa Monica, Aarrow Advertising LLC, Broadway Gymnastic School, Albertson’s, Hot Dog on a Stick, Party Lite Gifts, Incrementum, Bryan Cave LLP, Albertsons, TSA, O2 MAX Fitness, the Employment Development Department and many more. The Youth Job Fair will provide opportunities for job ready youth to meet with employers and apply for a variety of both seasonal summer jobs and permanent positions. Youth are encouraged to call Moira McCormack at Virginia Avenue Park for a fact sheet on how to prepare for the job fair. Youth are also encouraged to bring 20 resumes and will receive assistance with completing job applications at the fair. Santa Monica High School is located at 601 Pico Boulevard in Santa Monica.
