Welcome to the City Planning Division of the City of Santa Monica.  Our mission is to create a better community for the people of Santa Monica. We offer information and services to enhance and maintain Santa Monica's environment while ensuring a high quality of life for the community.

The City is preparing a new Housing Element! Preparation of the 2008-2014 Housing Element has begun, and PCD is using the opportunity to coordinate the City's housing objectives with the Land Use and Circulation Element's goals for shaping Santa Monica's future in the next 20 years.
