Ocean Park Boulevard "Green Streets" Project Underway!

The Ocean Park Boulevard "Green Streets" project was initiated in March 2008 at the request of the Santa Monica community.  The project aims to examine the portion of Ocean Park Boulevard west of Lincoln Blvd. to Neilson way, and to develop solutions to issues based on scale, character, health and safety, and circulation.  Check out the project's webpages Here.

Just Released: Final 2008-2014 Housing Element Adopted by Council 11.11.2008 Download: Housing Element

On November 11, 2008, the City Council adopted the 2008-2014 General Plan Housing Element.  The 2008-2014 Housing Element substantially complies with the requirements of Article 10.6 of the California State Government Code and demonstrates that Santa Monica is committed to building housing for all segments of the community and will contribute its fair share of new housing in California.  The document has been submitted to the California State Department of Housing & Community Development and is pending State certification.

Fences, Hedges & Walls - Property owners must register with the City any nonconforming fences, walls, and/or hedges located on their property by November 15, 2007.  The Registration period has closed. Click here for Regulations and other information.

Interim Zoning Regulations for Santa Monica Automobile Dealerships  The City Council will consider extending the interim standards that apply to proposals for new auto dealerships and dealership remodels at a hearing on May 13, 2008.  Find out more.
